The Great Abaco Island

I’ve always had the impression that I am closely related to the waters. The always leave me breathless and hungry for more. I love in a tropical country and have the best beaches to ask for. This might be the case, I still long to see other beaches around the globe. The Bahamas is actually on my list to where I might be headed before I die. I think it’s one of the coolest places in the universe.

untitled is the sailing capital of the world. Like everyone else, I wish to sail and visit this place. Abaco is the sailing capital of the world. Abaco is the third most populous island Bahamas.
In Abaco, you will find excellent marinas, Bahamas guides and boats for hire as well as a championship golf course, one of seven in The Bahamas — the others being in Nassau, Freeport, Abaco and Eleuthera.

Abaco is referred to as the sailing capital of the world. Abaco Bahamas has naturally protected waters and dozens of offshore cays covering over 130 square miles of Bahamian aquamarine water.

Abaco Bahamas is the third most populous island in The Bahamas and bears a resemblance to New England from which it attracts so many of its visitors and winter residents — many who often purchase a second home here in such developments as the new Serenity Point. Marsh Harbour Abaco is the commercial centre located on Great Abaco.

Home to the famous red and white striped lighthouse, Abaco with its numerous offshore cays and reef protected waters, once served as a safe harbor for British loyalists during the American Revolution. The first settlement on Abaco was Carleton Point, located at the northern end of Treasure Cay a luxury resort development. Carleton was settled in 1783 by 600 Loyalists refugees from New York, fleeing the newly independent United States.

Ive seen almost every magazine and on the television strips on long white beaches and people sailing on it. It’s glorious and magnificent scenery to carry on in my eyes. I’m quite surprised that there still many places in Bahamas I’m still not yet familiar of. Bahamas will always be on my to list.

Go Fish in Brazil!
rsanchez | November 14, 2009 | 3:50 pm | Travel News | 1 Comment

When you think of Brazil, most people automatically think of going to the rainforest or to one of its well known festivals, the Carnaval. Those places and events are extremely nice, but there’s more to Brazil than those. If you’re a hardcore fisherman or just starting to learn how to reel in your first fish, then Brazil would be one of the best places on earth to fish in.

Just one of the best fishes to get in Brazil is the Peacock Bass; known for its ferociousness it’s a great challenge for the veterans and a baptism in fire for the newbies. Below is a short description of the said fish:

Called “tucunare” in Portuguese, the peacock bass is a born ambusher and one of the most ferocious freshwater fish you’ll find anywhere. Acrobatic brawlers on a line, they snap 30-lb. monofilament like thread, straighten saltwater hooks, mangle lures and send rods home in more pieces than you came with. They are almost exclusively diurnal and aren’t the least bit sun-shy, hitting most lures at the surface with explosive force. They’re not too choosey about baits, but landing them is guaranteed to be one of the toughest freshwater fights you’ll ever get in.

Mexico Bass Fishing Adventures will make your fishing trip as organized and as fun as possible. So, what are you waiting for? Time to bust out that inner fisherman in you and catch one of the most ferocious Bass out there: the Peacock Bass. Have a safe trip and Good Luck!
