Be A Kid Again At Disney Land

Monday, March 5th, 2012

There are times when we feel like we just want to get away from the world. Sometimes we have so much expectations but the world gives us a different story. Do you ever remember when you were younger and you parents just invited you to go the park or at the mall to play or ride at the arcades? You can’t help but feel really excited and scared at the same time. You’re even trying to suppress the smile on your face as you arrive at the park or the arcade.

People from different ages and all walks of life also can’t help being excited or euphoric when it comes to thinking about DisneyLand. Walt Disney was one of the geniuses who made all the fairytales happen. I once saw Disneyland in a magazine and I vowed to myself that I need to visit this place when I grow up. It has not yet happened but maybe in the near future. My fingers are crossed. Disneyland is located in different parts o f the world and my focus right now is Asia. Hongkong Disneyland is located in China and has caused major tourist attractions. The plane tickets for are getting cheaper and is one of the major attractions in Asia. A number of families have been visiting HongKong Disneyland which includes friends, family, lovers to experience the grandeur and happiness upon entering the castle. Just last year DisneyLand launched its Toy Story Land which caters a toy story themed are which has racers, slinky dog spin and Toy Soldier Parachute Drop.

The Parachute Drop looks very exciting and scary at the same time. You get the experience to be shrunk in Andy’s backyard. The second themed area at Hong Kong Disneyland will be called Grizzly Gulch and it’s scheduled to be completed and opened to the public in 2012. And the Mystic Point themed area is expected to open in 2013.

Overnight Winter Trip to Beijing’s Great Wall

Thursday, November 26th, 2009

Visiting China’s Great Wall can be quite cold during the winter months. The China Guide, a Beijing-based travel company, is now offering a way for travelers to see the beauty of the Wall with a cozy hotel stay close by. Tucked along side the Badaling Great Wall is a newly renovated courtyard-style guest house. Visitors can take in the scenery, enjoy an afternoon hike and return to the guest house to warm up, enjoy the local cuisine and spend the night in a traditional Chinese setting.

Badaling Great Wall is a popular sight for travelers. It is located just outside of Beijing with easy access from the expressway. This section of the Wall is the most well-preserved and safe for hiking, providing a good option for families. There is also a cable car available to transfer visitors up and down the Wall, making it very convenient. Hikers can walk along the Wall which stretches for 42 miles, seeing the old watch towers and distant countryside. Badaling is the only section of the Great Wall which is occasionally lit up in the evening creating some beautiful night time scenery.

The guest house is located near the entrance of the Wall, making it a quick and cozy retreat after a chilly hike. The traditional courtyard setting, Chinese decor and location provide an authentic cultural feeling for guests. Rooms are available as standard or deluxe with two-bedroom suites available, all having private western style bathrooms. Each room joins into the central courtyard, which is covered and plushly decorated.
