Bantayan Island, Philippines – Island Paradise

In a little island on the western portion of the northern tip of Cebu, Philippines is where this virgin island of Bantayan is located. It is commonly known as the ‘island paradise‘ of the Philippines. With its fine powdery white sand and crystal-clear waters, Bantayan is an island paradise for most tourists as far as from Europe. Foreigners has an eye for investment or settling down in this beautiful unexplored island. The island is composed of three municipalities: Bantayan, Madridejos, and Sta. Fe. The place is especially famous for its Lenten practices (since most of the residents are Christians). During Lenten season especially Holy Week, which happens to be the peak of summer; local and foreign tourists dig in to the island to witness its spiritual culture as well as social fun. The island becomes a number destination on those days.
Bantayan is a small island wherein one can have a tour within a day. It is has a quaint and simple atmosphere. That is why, people opt to spend vacations there to ease out of the fast-paced life in urban cities. Truly, visitors never fail to fall inlove with the place.
Bantayan also has a growing industry since it is supplying the eggs for mainland Cebu, Negros, Panay, and even Leyte. It is known as the ‘Egg Basket’ in the region. Too much culture is etched on the island. It is home of one of the oldest church and houses of the country. And the beach of Bantayan is the ultimate feature of the island. It boasts of a long stretch of white powdery sand and crystal clear blue waters. This is one island paradise we cannot miss and must never fail to explore!
