Prepare Before the Flight

Preparation is key when travelling. This is true whether you’re going to the other side of the world or just the next two blocks away; their only two difference is that you carry more stuff in the former than the latter and it takes a longer time to travel. So where do we start then? The luggage.

The luggage is as important as the ticket you’re holding. Unless you got a very deep pocket, I suggest you pack some clothes and toiletries before your journey. The number of clothes depends on where and how long your time will be away from home, but be sure top pack some extra pairs just in case of emergencies.

If you have a heavy bag, it’s time to trade it for something lighter. Although they seem to offer more protection, heavy bags usually mean heavy bag surcharges as well. There’s a rule: “If you can’t lift your bag to place it in the overhead compartment, then it will be checked.” Suggestions range from duffel bags to backpacks for those short journeys.

Comfy shoes are the best things to wear on a flight, especially if it’s going to be a long one. The rule is to wear one pair and keep two in the bag. High heeled shoes are better off during formal dinners, parties, or the office–not during a flight.

If you follow these advises, you will have a more comfortable time on your flight even if you fly coach. Have a safe and organized flight ahead!
